We are so grateful for anyone who is able to volunteer their time, talents, or resources to help Carter Elementary. Below are our current volunteer opportunities. You can also fill out this form to let us know how you are most interested in volunteering so we can email you when those opportunities present. It takes a community and we are grateful for your support!

Copy Room - Weekly Fall 2026
Did you know that volunteers help teachers weekly at the school to make copies? This saves the teachers countless hours!
**If you have not volunteered before, please email volunteers@doncarterpto.com to set-up a brief training BEFORE signing up .**
You may have noticed some helpful parents in the morning carpool line getting kids out of cars and helping keep traffic moving. They’re part of Dads on Duty!
We’re looking to grow the program and get more dads—and moms and grandparents—involved. No sign-up is needed. Just show up any morning starting at 6:45 a.m. and join the crew!

Help the students slime their teacher on Thursday September 17!
We will need help getting kids in ponchos, handing them buckets of slime, and cleaning off.
Slime a Teacher - September 17
The Carter Bookfair is Sept. 3th-11th. We need volunteers! On September 3 help is needed to set the bookfair up and September 11 to clean up the bookfair. We need help during the day for the different grade levels. Note that there is an afterschool opportunity on September 8 and during Grandparents night on September 10.
All Bookfair Volunteers will get a 20% Bookfair discount.
If you would like to help with the Bookfair, please sign up below! Only sign up for sessions if you have alternate childcare for your children during that time slot. Please email pto@doncarterpto.com with any questions.

Stock the Staff Breakroom
Help us provide treats, sweets, and drinks for the Carter Elementary Staff to enjoy this semester in the school kitchen.
Drop your donations at the designated area in the front of the school at Meet the Teacher Night or in the morning on the first day of school.
You can also purchase on our Amazon Wish List to be delivered to the PTO.
